Kashyapa Aditi Surasa

Sage Kashyapa is said to have incarnated as Vasudeva, the father of Krishna, due to a curse of the deities Varuna or Brahma.

https://harekrishnainfo.blogspot.com/search/label/Kashyapa

Once, the sage is said to have performed a yajna (a ritual sacrifice) in his hermitage. Kashyapa sought the help of the god Varuna for the offerings of milk and ghee. Varuna lent the sage a divine cow that would provide him the required offerings. After completing the sacrifice, Kashyapa delayed in returning the cow back to the deity. Varuna cursed the sage and his wife, Aditi, to be born on earth as Vasudeva and Devaki, the parents of Vishnu in his avatar of Krishna.

In other iterations, Kashyapa is stated to have stolen a divine cow from Varuna for the performance of a ritual sacrifice. The deity requested Brahma for his intervention. For his theft of a cow, Brahma cursed Kashyapa to be born on earth as a cowherd. Since his wives, Aditi and Surasa, had assisted him in concealing the cows in his hermitage, they were also born on earth as his two wives, Devaki and Rohini.

Sutapa Prsni

Prajapati Sutapa and his wife Prsni worshipped Vishnu with such devotion that He Himself appeared before them for granting boon. In their over enthusiasm they asked thrice "We need a son equivalent to you". Vishnu told them that He Himself will be born as their son in three different janmas (birth).

In the first janma in Satya Yuga, Vishnu was born as Prsnigarba, son of Sutapa and Prsni. He appeared before Dhruva and created the planet known as Dhruvaloka for the habitation of Dhruva.

He instructed the importance of brahmacharya to the world.

In the second life, during Treta Yuga, He was born as Vamana, son of Aditi and Kasyapa.

In the third life, during Dvapara Yuga, He was born as Krishna, son of Vasudeva and Devaki.

Indraprastha

Mahabharata, Indraprastha is the capital city of the Pandavas, built on the site of the Khandava forest after it was burned down. Agni, the fire god, helped burn the forest with the assistance of Arjuna and Krishna, as he was tasked to do so by Brahma.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/AbrahamIbrahimBrahmaSpouses

       The Context:

  • Agni, the fire god, needed to consume the Khandava forest, but Indra, the king of the gods, was obstructing him. Arjuna and Krishna, bound by a promise to Agni, agreed to fight Indra to clear the way.
  • Varuna's Gifts:
  • To aid them, Agni requested Varuna to grant them powerful weapons. Varuna complied, bestowing upon Arjuna the Gandiva bow, a chariot with divine steeds, and inexhaustible quivers, and to Krishna, the mace Kaumodaki.
  • The Battle:
  • With these divine weapons, Arjuna and Krishna confronted Indra and his forces. The battle was fierce, and the weapons played a crucial role in their victory.
  • Symbolism:
  • The weapons given by Varuna are not just tools of war; they represent the power and divine support that Krishna and Arjuna receive in their righteous endeavors.
  • Arjuna's Return:
  • Later in the epic, Arjuna is said to have returned the Gandiva bow to Varuna by casting it into the sea, signifying the cyclical nature of power and the return of these celestial weapons to their source

Transformed by Rohini’s Talks
The Utkala-khanda of the Skanda Purana gives another account related to Krishna’s appearance as Jagannatha. (Utkala is the traditional name for Orissa.) Once, during a solar eclipse, Krishna, Balarama, Subhadra, and other residents of Dwaraka went to bathe in a holy pond at Kurukshetra.
The residents of Dwaraka are said to be in the mood of opulence (Aishwarya), and they worship Krishna as the Supreme Lord. But the residents of Vrindavana are in the mood of sweetness (Madhurya)
Knowing that Krishna would be there, Srimati Radharani, Krishna’s parents Nanda and Yashoda, and other residents of Vrindavana, who were burning in the fire of separation from the Lord, went to meet Him. Inside one of the many tents, the pilgrims had set up at Kurukshetra, Rohini, Lord Balarama’s mother, narrated Vrindavan pastimes to the queens of Dwaraka and others.

Krishna and Balarama came to the door and stood on Subhadra’s left and right sides. While listening to Rohini’s narration of Vrindavan pastimes, became ecstatic, and Their internal feelings were exhibited externally. Their eyes become dilated, Their heads compressed into Their bodies, and Their limbs retracted displayed their ecstatic forms of Jagannatha, Baladeva, and Subhadra.

Born Manifest

The Gaṅgā, which travels through the three material worlds, was born from the lotus feet of Lord Kṛṣṇa, who is the master of countless material universes and the ruler of the spiritual realm of Goloka.

O king, the Yamunā, the best of rivers, who wore a turban and many flower ornaments, was manifested from Lord Kṛṣṇa's left shoulder.

The splendid rāsa-dance circle, made of gold and jewels, and decorated with many ornaments, was manifested from Lord Kṛṣṇa's ankles.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Ras

Filled with assembly-houses, courtyards, pathways, pavilions, peacocks, bees, and cooing cuckoos, flooded with the sweetness of spring, and decorated with many lakes, a forest grove was manifested from Lord Kṛṣṇa's legs. O king, Vṛndāvana, the best of all forests, was manifested from Lord Kṛṣṇa's knees, and Līlā-sarovara lake was manifested from His thighs.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Forest

A golden place splendid with gold and jewels was manifested from His hips.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Gold

Many flowering mādhavī vines were manifested from the line of hairs on His abdomen. These vines were filled with many different birds and decorated with buzzing bees. Burdened with many flowers and fruits, they bowed down as if they were many saintly girls. From the Lord's lotus navel many thousands of lotus flowers were manifested. They shone very splendidly in the many lakes of Lord Kṛṣṇa's transcendental abode.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Flower

From the three folds of skin at the Lord's waist was manifested a gentle and cooling breeze.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Air

From His collar were manifested the cities of Mathurā and Dvārakā.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/City

From Lord Kṛṣṇa's arms were manifested His eight friends headed by Śrīdāmā.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Friend

From the Lord's wrists Nanda was manifested, and from the Lord's hands Upananda was manifested.

O king, from Śrī Kṛṣṇa's shoulder-blades all the Vṛṣabhānus were manifested.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/FatherMotherSonDaughteHolySpiritSoul

From the hairs of Śrī Kṛṣṇa's body all the gopas were manifested. O king of Mithilā, from Śrī Kṛṣṇa's mind were manifested the cows and bulls, the upholders of religion.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Cattle

From Śrī Kṛṣṇa's intelligence were manifested the grass, plants, and shrubs.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Veg

From the Lord's left shoulder was manifested a golden splendor that was His beloveds: Līlā, Śrī, Bhū, and Virajā.

https://harekrishnainfo.blogspot.com/search/label/PotenciesWifes

One of His beloveds is Līlāvatī. The wise know His dearest beloved is Rādhā. From Rādhā's arms are manifested Her friends Lalitā and Viśākhā.

O king, Her gopī-assistants were manifested from the hairs of Rādhā's body.

https://freeglobaluniversity.blogspot.com/search/label/Asso

In this way Lord Kṛṣṇa manifested the world of Goloka. As the gopīs watched, Kṛṣṇa's love for raseshwari radha desire , in a form of fire and water, came from His heart as a sprout comes up from the ground.
