- The Four Deities: Legend says Indradyumna was tasked with installing the four-fold form of the Lord in the temple, consisting of Lord Jagannatha, Balabhadra, Subhadra, and the Sudarshana Chakra. [1]
- The Four Legends/Associations:
- Temple Construction: Indradyumna ordered the construction of the original Jagannath temple with the assistance of regional kings.
- Queen Gundicha: His queen, Gundicha, requested he build a temple, leading to the tradition of the Rath Yatra.
- Indradyumna Tank: A sacred tank near the Gundicha temple is believed to have been created by the thousands of cows he donated to Brahmins.
- Asvamedha Yajna: He performed numerous horse sacrifices (Asvamedha yajnas) to please the Lord, which led to the manifestation of the Daru Brahma (divine wood). [1, 2, 3, 4]
- The Four-Armed Vishnu: Indradyumna originally sought to worship the four-armed image of Lord Vishnu before it was hidden in the sand. [1]
Note: The results also refer to Indradyumna Swami, a contemporary Gaudiya Vaishnava preacher who writes about his own travels and life. [1, 2, 3, 4]
